We are so glad you are here. Checking out a church can be intimidating and we want to do everything we possibly can to ensure you have a great experience visiting us. Below is a little more information about what you can expect at one of our weekend experiences. If you have any questions that aren't answered below please submit them via our contact form and we will get back with you as soon as possible.

What is City Point Church & Why Should I Care?

Those are two great questions. First of all, let’s deal with the “what”.

CPC is a church in Greater Fayetteville, Arkansas. Jim Bob & Matilda Baker packed their bags in early 2012 and left their hometown with a dream of planting a church that was outward focused. The idea was that City Point Church would bring Jesus’ message of love, hope, peace and redemption to the city and specifically, to those that weren’t already in a church. CPC would exist to Love the outsiders, to Serve our city and to Multiply by giving 10% of City Point’s money to help other churches get started.

As Jim Bob began sharing his vision with others many of them began to feel called to this movement as well. And so the team assembled from Conway, Arkansas, Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Chicago, Illinois, to join several local Fayettevillians with one goal: To bring Jesus’ message to the city.

So why should you care?

In Greater Fayetteville there are well over 33,000 people that don’t have a church home, not including college students. That’s a big number. But it’s not really that surprising. Many times we, as the Church, operate like private clubs. We do everything we can to cater to our members but we make it very difficult for an outsider to join us. Maybe you’ve visited a church and you felt weird and on the outside. Maybe you’ve never visited a church because you just don’t buy the whole “God-thing”. Maybe your experience with Christians has seemed fake and negative. We at CPC believe that the message of Jesus connects with and inspires everyone who hears it. The problem is, sometimes we churches get in the way. It’s so important to us that you get to experience His love in your life so our goal is simply this...

If you aren’t plugged into a church, we want to serve you at CPC. If you aren’t a Christian and don’t think you’ll ever become one, we still want to serve you at CPC. If your life is a mess and you don’t think it will ever be made right, you guessed it, we really want to serve you at CPC. We desire to be the opposite of a private club in that, we exist to meet the needs of the outsiders. That means you. So come check us out. You won’t regret it.

What Can I Expect The Services To Be like?

For starters, come dressed comfortably and casually. We like to take it easy around here! Follow the signs and when you pull into our lot, grab a parking spot. At the entrance you'll be greeted warmly and you'll receive a program that contains information and current announcements. Feel free to stop by Sip City to grab a cup of coffee and a doughnut (or two!) before the service begins.

If you have children ages zero – four, you can drop them off at Little City which is straight ahead of you when you enter the building. If you have a child between the ages of 5 = 10 they go to Kid City which is located just past Little City. Just look for the signs or ask any of our volunteers if you need help finding the location. We strive to make our children's experience fun, Christ-centered and safe. In each room, kids are cared for by an amazing team of screened volunteers.

Our worship services most often start with music. Music at City Point is loud and lively. We are excited about what Jesus has done and that shows in our worship. Next up, one of our pastors will speak a message that you can apply to your life today. Our goal is to allow the Word of God to penetrate all of our hearts and for His truth to change us. Check out our video messages on this site to get a feel for what that will be like.

After the service has ended, feel free to meet some people around you or ask our greeters any questions you may have about our

church. Also, if your children attended Little City or Kid City, you can go pick them up at the check-ins.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 3:7-11.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both 100% God and 100% man is the only One

who can reconcile us to God. He was born of a Virgin, He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. John 1: 1, 14,

20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5; Matthew 1:18, 25; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18; 23-25; Luke 1:27-35.

We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to

our everyday lives. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; and Romans 16:25-26.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

Genesis 1:26-31; Romans 3:23.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives. Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22; Acts 2:21, 3:19; I John 1:9.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to yield to God's Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. I Thessalonians 4:3 5:23; II Corinthians 3:18; II Thessalonians 2:1-3; Romans 8:29, 12:1-2; Hebrews 2:11.

We believe in Water Baptism and that every new convert is instructed by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38.

We believe that the Lord's Supper is a unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross. Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-

38, 10:47-48; I Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.. Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16; I Corinthians 12:9, 28; Romans 11:29; John 3:3-11; II Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10; II Timothy 1:7, 2:11; Philippians 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3; Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24; Joshua 1:8; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; II Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Psalm 34:10, 84:11; Philippians 4:19; Acts 20:24; Philippians 3:13-14; I Peter 4:10; I Corinthians 12:7; Ephesians 4:11, 13-14.

We believe that our eternal destination of either

Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 5:3, 12, 20, 6:20,

19:21, 25:34; John 17:24; II Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; I Peter 1:4; Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming

back again as He promised. Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 4:15-17;
